Basement Floors Ground, Patched, and Coated

Turn a dusty basement slab into finished, moisture-resistant living or storage space.

Basement & Interior Floor Coatings, SE Twin Cities Metro Area

A coated basement floor turns the coldest room in the house into usable space: workshop, gym, laundry, storage, or finished living area. Unlike carpet or LVP, a coating can't be ruined by the water event every Minnesota basement eventually sees, mop it dry and move on.

Basements demand moisture awareness above all. We test every slab before quoting a system, and where vapor drive is present we install a moisture-mitigation primer rated for it, so the floor you pay for stays down.

What's included

  • Moisture testing and vapor-mitigation primers where the slab needs them
  • Flake, solid-color, and satin clear finishes that brighten dark spaces
  • Seamless, dust-free surface: no more concrete dust migrating upstairs
  • Cove details and floor drains worked cleanly into the finish

Frequently asked questions

My basement gets damp: can it still be coated?

Usually yes, with the right system. We measure the actual vapor emission first, then specify a mitigation primer rated for the reading. What we will not do is coat over an untested damp slab and hope.

Is a coating better than epoxy paint or tile down there?

Paint is a thin film that scuffs and peels; tile and LVP trap moisture underneath. A bonded coating system becomes part of the slab: it handles moisture from below, cleans easily, and has no seams to fail.
