  • Preparation is the product. Every floor is diamond-ground to a measured profile, cracks and spalls are repaired, and the slab is moisture-tested before a drop of product goes down. Coatings fail at the bond line; we refuse to let ours start there.
  • One-day garage installs. Fast-cure polyaspartic systems let us grind, repair, prime, flake, and topcoat most 2–3 car garages in a single working day — walk on it the next morning, park on it in 24–48 hours.

Signs it's time for replacement

  1. Dusting and pitting. Concrete that sheds fine dust or shows small pits is wearing at the surface — a ground-and-coated floor stops the erosion and seals the slab.
  2. Salt rings and winter staining. White chloride staining means de-icer is working into the pores. Each freeze drives it deeper; a coating or penetrating sealer shuts the door.
  3. Oil and tire marks that will not wash out. Bare concrete absorbs what lands on it. Coated concrete holds stains on the surface where a mop can reach them.
  4. A failed DIY or painted floor. Peeling gray paint or a flaking kit floor grinds off completely during our prep — the failed layer leaves with the laitance, and the new system bonds to bare concrete.

What does a garage floor coating cost?

It depends on square footage, the repair the slab needs, and the system installed — a moisture-mitigation primer or heavy repair changes the number. Every quote is a written, itemized estimate after we see and test the floor, and the estimate is free.

Polyaspartic or epoxy?

Both, where each belongs: epoxy and moisture-tolerant primers at the slab, polyaspartic at the surface for UV stability, hot-tire resistance, and fast cure. Polyaspartics are themselves a fast-curing type of aliphatic polyurea — so when a company advertises a "polyurea floor," it is the same chemistry family we install as a topcoat. Single-product floors are a marketing simplification; layered systems last.

Can you coat old, damaged concrete?

Usually — grinding and repair handle most wear, and resurfacing overlays can rebuild a badly scaled surface before coating. When a slab is structurally failed, we say so and quote the replacement instead; we do that work too.

How soon can it be walked and parked on?

Typical polyaspartic systems take foot traffic the next morning and vehicles in 24–48 hours; commercial urethanes vary by build. Exact times come in writing with the installation.

Do coatings make the floor slippery?

Texture is a choice, not an accident. Flake and quartz broadcasts add grip, and topcoats take anti-slip additives — we match the texture to how the space is used, from smooth showroom to wash-down kitchen.
